Meeting For Revival

  • Indian Baptist Church W Buffalo Rd Smithville, OK, 74957 United States (map)

We invite everyone, who is able and willing, to come join us as we seek the Lord for revival among God's people and for the salvation of sinners in our community. The LORD said through His prophet in Isaiah 59:1-2 "Behold, the LORD'S hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear: But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear."

We live in a time when there is "a lot" being done in the name of God and religion, but it is not the Lord's doing. It is the methods and machinery of man not a movement of the Holy Spirit. As the verse above declares to us, it is not the Lord's fault but ours. We have learned to operate without the power and blessing of God, therefore we have empty sermons, cold hearts, dry eyes, prayerless closets, no vision, and a country that is coming apart at the seems. Many would blame it on the day and age we live, some on the sovereignty of God. But as the verse above indicates it is not the Lord who is powerless to save and revive, it is our iniquities, our sins that have held back the blessings of God upon our country, our communities, our churches, and our homes.

For the Christian there is hope for restoration and for the lost there is hope for salvation because of the blood Jesus shed at Calvary.

Dear Christian take heed to 2 Chronicles 7:14 "If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land."

The same principles are laid out in the New Testament in 1 John 1:9 "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." For the Christian to experience revival, God's blessing, answer to prayers, a burden for the lost there must be a humbling of self, a calling upon the Lord for mercy, a seeking of His will and His way no matter the cost, and a repenting of our sins.

Friend if you are unconverted, still lost in your sins, Jesus Christ can and will save you today if you will repent and believe the gospel.

If we will earnestly seek the Lord and completely surrender to Him perhaps we can see the Lord do a new thing as was spoken of in Isaiah 43:19. I strongly encourage you to come praying and seeking for God to move in our presence and stir in our community. May the Lord bless you.
